strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

5 34 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you fear ye not.

6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.

9 5 The glory of this latters house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. 10 In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

11 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests 7 concerning the law 7, saying,

12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.

13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said. It shall be unclean. 14 Then answered Haggai, and said, "So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

20 And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying, 21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of reh. 1.1. Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

2 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.

23 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee. O Zerubbabel, my ser vant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD,

and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.

ND it came to pass in the fourth year

LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu; 21 When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, † to 2 pray before 2 the LORD, 3 And to speak unto the priests which 3 were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

4 Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,

5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth dand seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye Sat all fast unto me, even to me?

6 And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, I did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

7 Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the 7 south and the 8 plain?

8B And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying ẞ,

9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; *and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

11 But they refused to hearken, and +pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. 12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent 10 in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
