4. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit standing; the of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Isa. xi. 2. Making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Eph. i. 16, 17, 18. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Col. i. 10. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 2 Pet. i. 2, 3. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James i. 5. I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. Rom. xvi. 19. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Prov. iii. 13. Through thy precepts I get understanding. Psal. cxix. 104. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding; I have strength. Prov. viii. 14. I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel. Psal. xvi. 7. And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit. Luke i. 80. Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph. vi. I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. Eph. iii. 14. 16. which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Jer. iii. 15. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him. Deut. xxxiv. 9. Add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 2 Pet. i. 5, 6, 7.

5. I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Jer. xxxii. 40. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him; and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord. Isa. xi. 2, 3. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments. Psal. cxi. 10. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever. Psal. xix. 9. The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. Prov. xix. 23. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Heb. xii. 28. See also, Prov. i. 7.-xiv. 27. CXCII. Prayer, with the Laying on of the Hands of the Bishop.

2. By one Spirit are we all baptized into one body. 1 Cor. xii. 13. The God of all grace, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Pet. v. until he come 10. The Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: to the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. 1 Thess. iii. 12, 13. Grow in grace. 2 Pet. iv. 18. The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. v. 23. The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom. 2 Tim. iv. 18. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts
by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in
love, may be able to comprehend with all saints
what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and
height; and to know the love of Christ, which
passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all
the fulness of God. Eph. iii. 14 to 19. From a child
thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are
able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith
