About the author (2004)

WaLillian Tyson and Terry Conward are sisters born and raised in Badin, N.C. in a loving family with four other sisters and one brother.

 

WaLillian attended Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C. and Howard University in Washington, D.C. She now lives in Cheshire, C.T.  She worships at Beulah Heights 1st Pentecostal Church in New Haven, C.T. where she was choir director for 18 years, and has been teaching Sunday School for 30 yrs under the leadership of Bishop Theodore L. Brooks.  She is married to Alfonzo Tyson and is the mother of five children and 13 grandchildren

 

Terry  earned a doctorate degree in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, D.C.  She worked in the field of social work for more than 30 years.  She now lives in Miami, Florida where she is a Trustee at New Birth Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Victor T. Curry.  She is a divorcee with two children Michael and Maurice..
