One day it hit me like a bolt of lightening, that God is my Father.  Furthermore He is a perfect parent.  And as I began reflecting on my parents, I realized that there were some things I did not have to ask them for because they were my parents and they knew I had need of these things.  They were given without me even asking.  Then it dawned on me my parents learned to be parents from God who is the ultimate parent and their Creator.  In addition to what they received from their parents there were some innate parenting they received from God.

There were some things I did not have to ask my parents for when I was growing up and there are some things if I go home today still don’t have to ask for, especially food.  They see it as their duty to provide for us their children and without even asking at times.  I believe that God does the same thing too, because He said in Matthew 6:33 if we seek Him and His Kingdom first, then He will give us food, clothing, and shelter. He said these are things the Gentiles seek after.

Then the disciple Peter reminded me, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness….For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:3&8).  God has deposited in us all we need to be successful in life.  Our problem is we do not understand it is in seed form.  It is our responsibility to cooperate with God in germinating and getting these fruit trees to bring forth much fruit.

About the author (2007)

After twenty five years of pastoring, teaching, counseling, and conducting Seminars in the Caribbean and America, the Lord called Kennedy Vanterpool to begin Prosperity Ministry in 2003.  The Ministry’s vision is to mend the great disconnection between what is taught in the Bible and what is practiced during the week.

The Lord again gave him a series of Bible Studies, out of which arose this book.  As God’s people we are disconnected because of a lack of understanding the Bible.  What we hear and what we do are so far removed it creates guilt and misery within.  A vicious cycle is produced and many become discouraged and give up.  Others live below their God given potential.  We live destructive lives because of a lack of information.

Kennedy graduated from Caribbean Union College, as president of his class of 1982.  Then he married the beautiful and talented Esther Simmons, from St Lucia, a graduate of West Indies College.  The marriage produced three wonderful children; Kenesha, Kenesky and Kenesma. He attended Indiana State University where he completed a Masters Degree in Counseling in 1991.

In 1994 He started the family business known as Kenes Company; they provide a wide variety of vending services.

In June 2006 he published his first book, “You are Prosperous Believe it or not!  I Believe My Personal Testimony” by Xulon Press. In October 2007 he Published his second book, The Great Disconnection: Between The Christian in Church and in Life! How To Solve It?” by AuthorHouse.

Pastor Vanterpool is available to conduct seminars in helping the members enjoy their Christian experience on a daily basis and avoid their disconnections.  You can call him at 281-389-6308, Email Kenesv@yahoo.com or you write to:
