The student should place on his shelves by the side of Wülcker's "Grundriss zur Geschichte der Angelsächsischen Literatur," the following work, which was published in 1887 as the first volume of a 66 'Sammlung von Kompendien für das Studium und die Praxis," published by Heinrich Schöningh of Münster :"Grundriss der Geschichte der Englischen Litteratur von ihren Anfängen bis zur Gegenwart, von Dr. Gustav Körting, O.O.
