15 Curfed be the man that maketh y graven or molten image, an abomination sata the LORD, the works of the hands of the craft man, and putteth it in a fecret place: and the people thall anfwer and fay, Amen.

16 Curfed be he that fetteth light by his ther, or his mother: and all the people th fay, Amen.

63 And it shall conie to pafs, that, as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; fo the LORD will rejoice over you to deftroy you, and to bring you to nought and ye thall be plucked from off the land whither thou goeft to poffefs it.

64 And the LORD thall fcatter thee among all people from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt ferve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fa thers have known, even wood and ftone.

65 And among thefe nations fhalt thou find no cafe, neither thall the fole of thy font have reft: but the LORD fhall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and for row of mind:

66 And thy life fhall hang in doubt before thee; and thou thalt fear day and night, and fhalt have noue affurance ofthy life;

49 The LORD fhall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as wift as the eagle flieth; a nation whofe tongue thou shalt not understand;

50 A nation of fierce countenance, which fhall not regard the perfon of the old, nor thew favour to the young.

51 And he thall eat the fruit of thy cattle,and the fruit of thy land, until thou be deftroyed: which alfo fhall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increafe of thy kine, or Blocks of thy theep, until he have deftroyed thee.

52 And he fhall befiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou truftedit, throughout all thy tand: and he shall befiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land which the LORD thy God hath given thee.

2 And Mofes called unto all Ifrael, and faid unto them, Ye have feen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land Egypt, unto Pharaoh,and unto all his fervant and unto all his land:

3 The great temptations which thine eys have feen, the figns, and those great miracle

4 Yet the LORD hath not given you heart to perceive, and eyes to fee, and earsts, hear, unto this day.

5 And I have led you forty years in the wildernefs: your clothes are not waxen de upon you, and thy thoe is not waxen old upo thy foot.

Ye have not eaten bread, neither haver drunk wine or ftrong drink; that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.

12 That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day;

13 That he may eftablish thee to-day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath faid unto thee, and as he hath fworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Ifaac, and to Jacob.

14 Neither with you only do I make this Covenant and this oath;

15 But with big that flandeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and alfo with bim that is not here with us this day:

16(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt, and how we came through the nations which ye paffed by;

47 And ye have feen their abominations, and their idols, wood and ftone, filver and gold, which were among them :)

18 Left there thould be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whofe heart turaeth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and ferve the gods of thefe na. tions; left there fhould be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood:

19 And it come to pafs, when he heareth the words of this curfe, that he blefs himself in his heart, faying, I thall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkennefs to thirst:

20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealoufy fhall Smoke against that man, and all the curfes that are written in this book mall lie upon him, and the LORD thall blot out his name from under heaven.

21 And the LORD fhall feparate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Ifrael, according to all the curfes of the covenant that are writ. ten in this book of the law:

22 So that the generation to come of your children, that shall rife up after you, and the tranger that shall come from a far land, fhall fay, when they fee the plagues of that land, and the fickneffes, which the LORD hath laid upon it;

23 And that the whole land thereof is brimfone, and fait, and burning, that it is not fown, nor beareth, nor any grafs groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Go. morrah, Admah and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath;

2 That thou mayeft love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayeft obey his voice, and that thou mayeft cleave unto him; (for be is thy life, and the length of thy days;) that thou mayeft dwell in the land which the FORD fware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to liaac, and to Jacob, to give them. CHAP. XXXI.

1 Mofes encourageth the people, and Joshua: 9 he delivereth the law unto the priefs. 14 God giveth a charge to Joshua, 19 and a fong to teflify against the people.

ND Meres went and fpake these words unto all Ifrael.

2 And he faid unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: alfo the LORD hath faid unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jor fan.

3 The LORD thy God, he will go over be fore thee, and he will deftroy thefe nations from before thee, and thou thalt poffefs them: and Jothua, he thall go over before thee, as the LORD hath faid.

4 And the LORD fhall do unto them as re did unto Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites; and to the land of them whom he destroyed.

5 And the LORD fhall give them up before your tace, that ye may do unto them accordIng unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.

6 Be strong, and of a good courage, fear not, nor beatraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is chat doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor fortake thee.

7And Mofes called unto Jotha, and faid unto him in the fight of all Ifracl, Be strong, and of a good courage: for thou mutt go with this people unto the land which the LORD hathworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou fhalt caufe them to inherit it.

9¶And Mofes wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the fons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Ifrael.

10 And Mofes commanded them, faying, At the end of every feven years, in the folemnity of the year of relcafe, in the feaft of tabernacles,

15 And the LORD appeared in the taberna. cle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud food over the door of the tabernacle.

16 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Behold, thou thalt fleep with thy fathers; and this people will rife up, and go a whoring af ter the gods of the ftrangers of the land whi ther they go to be among them, and will for. fake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

17 Then my anger thall be kindled againa them in-that day, and will forfake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they thall be devoured, and many evils and troubles fhall befall them; fo that they will fay in that day. Are not thefe evils come upon us, be. caufe our God is not among us?

18 And I will furely hide my face in that day, for all the evils which they fhall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other godz.

19 Now therefore write ye this fong for you, and teach it the children of Ifrael: put it i their mouths, that this fong may be a wi nefs for me against the children of iftael.

20 For when I thall have brought themir. to the land which I fware unto their father, that floweth with milk and honey, and they fhall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and ferve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.

21 And it shall come to pafs, when may evils and troubles are befallen then, that thi fong thall teftity against them as a witnes for it fhall not be forgotten out of the mouth of their feed: for I know their imagination which they go about even now, before I hare brought them into the land which I fware.

22 Mofes therefore wrote this fong the fame day, and taught it the children of Ifrael.

23 And he gave Joshua the ion of Nan a charge, and faid, Be ftrong, and of a good courage; for thoufhalt bring the children ef Ifrael into the land which I fware unto them; and I will be with thee.

24 And it came to pafs, when Mofes had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,

25 That Mofes commanded the Levites which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, faying,

26 Take:nis book of the law, and put i the fide of the ark of the covenant of t LORD your God, that it may be there f witness against thee.
