12 And he flew the burnt-offering; and Aaron's fons prefented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

13 And they prefented the burnt-offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head; and he burnt them upon the altar. 14 And he did wath the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

15And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat which was the fin-offering for the people, and flew it, and offered it for fin, as the firit.

16 And he brought the burnt-offering, and offered it according to the manner.

17 And he brought the meat-offering, and took an handful thereof; and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt-facrifice of the morning.

18 He flew alfo the bullock and the ram for a facrifice of peace-offerings which was for the people: and Aaron's fons prefented unto him the blood, which he fprinkled upon the altar round about.

19 And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:

ao And they put the fat upon the breafts, and he burnt the sat upon the altar:

21 And the breafts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave-ottering before the LORD; as Mofes commanded.

22 And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and bleffed them and came down from offering of the fin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and peace-offerings.

23 And Mofes and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and bleffed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

24 And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt-offering and the fat: which when all the people faw, they shouted, and fell on

their faces.

which he commanded them not.

2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them; and they died before the LORD.

3 Then Mofes faid unto Aaron, This is it that the RD fpake, faying, I will be fanc tified in them that come nigh me, and be. fore all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

4 And Mofes called Mifhael and Elzaphan, the fons of Uzziel, the uncle of Aaron, and faid unto them, Come near, carry your bre

7 And ye thall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, left ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Mofes.

8 And the LORD fpake uno Aaron, fay. ing,

9 Do not drink wine, nor ftrong drisk, thou nor thy fons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, let ye die it shall be a ftatute for ever throughout your generations;

10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

11 And that ye may teach the children of Ifrael all the ftatutes which the LORD hath fpoken unto them by the hand of Mofes.

12 And Mofes fpake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his fons that were left, Take the meat-offering that remain eth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven befide the altar; for it is most holy.

13 And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy fons due, of the facrifices of the LORD made by fire: for fo I am commanded.

14 And the wave-breaft and heave-theul der shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy fons, and thy daughters with thee; for they be thy due, and thy fons due, which ar given out of the facrifices of peace-offerings of the children of Ifrael.

15 The heave-shoulder and the wave-breaft fhall they bring, with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave-offer ing before the LORD; and it fhall be thine, and thy fons with thee, by a ftatute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.

16 And Mofes diligently fought the gost of the fin-offering, and, behold it was burste and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar the fons of Aaron, which were left alive, faying,

17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the fis offering in the holy place, feeing it is mot holy, and God hath given it you to bear th iniquity of the congregation, to make atone

ment for them before the LORD!

18 Behold, the blood of it was not brough in within the holy place ye fhould indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I com. manded.

19 And Aaron faid unto Mofes, Beho, this day have they offered their fin-offering and their burnt-offering before the LORD and fuch things have befallen me: and if had eaten the fin-offering to-day, fhould it have been accepted in the fight of the LORD! 20 And when Mofes heard that, he wi content.

6 And the hare, because he cheweth the tud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you

Thefe fhall ye eat, of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and fcales is the waters, in the feas, and in the rivers, then shall ye eat.

10 And all that have not fins nor fcales In the feas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which it in the waters, they all be an abomination unto you.

11 They fhall be even an abomination unto you: ye thall not eat of their fieth, but ye thall have their carcafes in abomination.

12 Whatfoever hath no fins nor fcales in the waters, that ball be an abomination unto

you.

13 And there are they which ye shall have la abomination among the fowls; they fhall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the offifrage, and the ofpray,

14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;

15 Every raven after his kind; 16 And the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, 17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

18 And the fwan, and the pelican, and the gier-eagle,

19 And the fork, and the heron after her Kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. 20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, Ball be an abomination unto you.

21 Yet thefe may ye eat, of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

22 Even thefe of them ye may cat; the locuft after his kind, and the bald locuft after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grafshopper after his kind.

23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, ball be an abomination

24 And for thefe ye shall be unclean: who foever toucheth the carcafe of them shall be unclean until the even.

25 And whofoever beareth aught of the car. cafe of then thall wash his clothes, and be

25 The carcafes of every beaft which divid. eth the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor

cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: eve.

28 And he that beareth the carcase of them fhall wath his clothes, and be unclean until the even; they are unclean unto you.

29Thefe alfo full be uncleaa unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weafel, and the mouse, and the tortoife after his kind,

30 And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the fail, and the mole.

31 Thefe are unclean to you among all that creep: whofoever goth touch them, when they be dead, fhall be unclean until the even.

32 And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any veffel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or fack, whatfoever veffel it be, where. in any work is done, it must be put into wa ter, and it shall be unclean until the even; fo it shall be cleanfed.

33 And every earthen veffel whereinto any of them falleth, whatfoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye fhall break it.

34 Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which fuch water cometh thall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk, in every fuch vessel, thall be unclean.

35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcafe falleth thall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they thall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be uncican unto you.

36 Nevertheless, a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, thall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcafe thall be un. clean.

37 And if any part of their carcafe fail up. on any fowing-leed which is to be fown, it Shall be clean.

38 But if any water be put upon the feed, and any part of their carcafe fall thereon, it fhall be unclean unto you.

39 And if any beart of which ye may eat die; he that toucheth the carcafe thereof thall be unclean until the even.

40 And he that eateth of the carcafe of it fhall wath his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth fall be an abomination; it thall not be caten.

42 Whatfoever goeth upon the belly, and whatfoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye thall not eat; for they are an abomination.

43 Ye thall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither thall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye fhould be defiled there. by.

44 For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore fanctify yourfelves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither thall ye defile yourfelves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

45 For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Bgypt, to be your

CHA P. XII.

Of women's purifications, 6 and offerings. ND the LORD ipake unto Mofes, faying, 2 Speak unto the children of Lirael, fay ing, If a woman have conceived feed, and borne a man child; then the shall be unclean feven days; according to the days of the fe paration for her infirmity thall the be unclean. 3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin thall be circumcifed.

4 And the thall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days: the fhall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the fanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

5 But it the bear a maid child, then he fhall be unclean two weeks, as in her feparation: and the thall continue in the blood of her purifying threefcore and fix days.

6 And when the days of her puritying are fulfilled, for a fon, or for a daughter, the hall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a fin-offering, unto the door of the tabcrnacle of the congregation, unto the priest;

7 Who shall offer it before the Loko, and make an atonement for her, and the fhall be cleanfed from the iffue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

8 And if the be not able to bring a lamb, then the fhall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt-offering, and the other for a fin-offering: and the priest fhall make an atonement for her, and the shall be clean.

CHA P. XIII.

Tokens to difcern the leprofy.

to difcern leprosys clean; iti s but a scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

7 But if the fcab fpread much abroad in the skin, after that he hath been feen of the prieft for his cleanfing, he thall be seen of the priest again.

8 And if the prieft fee, that, behold, the fcab spreadeth in the skin; then the prieft hall pronounce him unclean it is a leprosy.

9 When the plague of leprofy is in a man, then he shall be brought unto the prieft;

10 And the priest fhall fee bim: and, be hold, if the rifing be white in the kin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rifing,

11 It is an old leprofy in the skin of his flesh; and the priest thall pronounce him unclean, and thall not thut him up: for he is unclean.

12 And if a leprofy break out abroad in the skin, and the leprofy cover all the skin of him that bath the plague, from his head even to his foot, wherefoever the priest looketh;

13 Then the priest fhall confider: and, be hold, if the leprofy hath covered all his flesh, he fhall pronounce him clean that bath the plague; it is all turned white: he is clean.

14 But when raw fleth appeareth in him, he shall be unclean.

15 And the priest fhall fee the raw fleth, and pronounce him to be unclean; for the raw fleth is unclean: it is a leprofy.

16 Or if the raw flesh turn again, and be changed unto white, he fhall come unto the priest;

17 And the priest fhall fee him: and, be hold, if the plague be turned into white then the priest thall pronounce him clean that bath the plague: he is clean.

18 The Heth alfo in which, even in the fkin thereof, was a boil, and is healed;

19 And in the place of the boil there be a white rifing, or a bright fpot white, and fome what reddith, and it be thewed to the priest;

20 And if, when the prieft feeth it, behold, it be in fight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white, the priest fhall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of le

2 When a man thall have in the skin of his fleth a rifing, a fcab, or bright spot, and it be in the ikin of his flesh like the plague of leprofy; then he fhall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his fons the priests. 3 And the priest thall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague In fight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprofy and the priest thall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.

4 If the bright fpot be white in the ikin of his flesh, and in tight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that bath the plague feven days.

5 And the priest fhall look on him the feventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his fight be at a flay, and the plague (pread not in the skin; then the priest thall shut him up feven days more.

6 And the prieft fhall look on him again the feventh day: and, behold, if the plague be fomewhat dark, and the plague fpread not in the skin, the pricft fhall pronounce him

21 But if the priest look on it, and, be hold, there be no white hairs therein, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be fome. what dark; then the priest fhall shut him up feven days."

22 And if it fpread much abroad in the fkin, then the priest shall pronounce him us clean: it is a plague.

23 But if the bright fpot ftay in his place, and fpread not, it is a burning boil; and the prieft thall pronounce him clean.

24Or if there be any flesh, in the kin whereof there is a hot burning, and the quick fef that burneth have a white bright spot, fomewhat reddish, or white;

25 Then the priest thall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright Ipot be turn ed white, and it be in fight deeper than the fkin, it is a leprofy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest thall pronounce him unclean; it is the plague of leprofy,

26 But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hair on the bright fpot, and it be no lower than the other skin, but fomewhat dark; then the priest fall faut hin up leven days,

28 And if the bright fpot ftay in his place, and fpread not in the skin, but it be fomewhat dark; it is a rifing of the burning, and the prieft fhall pronounce him clean: for it is an inflammation of the burning.

29 If a man or woman hath a plague upon the head or the beard;

30 Then the prieft thall fee the plague: and, behold, if it be in fight deeper than the kin, and there be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest thall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry feall, even a leprofy, upon the head of beard.

31 And if the prieft look on the plague of the fcall, and, behold, it be not in fight deeper than the skin, and that there is no black hair in it; then the prieft shall shut up him that barb the plague of the fcall feven days.

32 And in the feventh day the priest fhall look on the plague: and, behold, if the fcall fpread not, and there be in it no yellow hair, and the fall be not in fight deeper than the kin;

33 He fhall be fhaven, but the feail fhall he not have: and the prieft thall thut up him that both the fcall feven days more.

34 And in the feventh day the priest fhall look on the feall: and, behold, if the fcall be not fpread in the skin, nor be in fight deeper than the fkin; then the priest thall pronounce him clean: and he thall wash his clothes, and be clean.

35 But if the fcall fpread much in th skin after his cleaning;

36 Then the priest shall look on him: and, behoid, if the fcall be spread in the skin, the priest thall not feek for yellow hair; he is unclean.

37 But if the fcall be in his fight at a ftay, and that there is black hair grown up therein; the fcall is healed, he is clean: and the priet hall pronounce him clean.

38 Ifa man alfo or a woman have in the fkin of their fleth bright spots, even white bright spots:

39 Then the priest fhall look: and, behold, if the bright spots in the skin of their fleth be darkish white; it is a freckled fpot that groweth in the skin: he is clean.

40 And the man whofe hair is failen of his bead, he is bald: yet is he clean.

41 And he that hath his hair fallen of from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead-bald: yet is he clean.

42 And if there be in the bald head, or bald forehead, a white reddish fore, it is a leprofy fprung up in his bald head, or his bald forehead;

Then the prief (hall look upon it: and, behold, if the rising of the fore be white reddish in his bald head, or in his bald forehead, as the leprofy appeareth in the skin of the flesh, 44 He is a leprous man, he is unclean: the priet fhall pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague if in his head.

45 And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes fhall be rent, and his head bare, and he thall put a covering upon his upper Hip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean.

47 The garment alfo that the plague of leprofy is in, whether it be a woollen garment or a linen garment,

48 Whether it be in the warp, or woof, of linen, or of woollen, whether in a skin, or in any thing made of skin :

49 And if the plague be greenith or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of fkin; it is a plague of leprofy, and thall be thewed unto the prieft.

55 And the priest hall look upon the plague, sad fhut up it that hath the plague feven days.

51 And he shall look on the plague on the feventh day if the plague be spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in a skin, or in any work that is made of fkin, the plague is a fretting leprofy; it is unclean.

52 He thall therefore burn that garment. whether warp or woof, in woollen, or in li. nen, or any thing of ikin, wherein the plague is: for it is a fretting leprosy; it fall be burnt in the fire.

53 And if the priest fhall look, and, behold, the plague be not spread in the garment, ei ther in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of skin;

54 Then the priest thall command that they wash the thing wherein the plague is, and he thall thut it up feven days more.

55 And the priest fhall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not fpread, it is unclean, thou fhalt burn it in the fire: it is fret inward, whether it be bare within or without.

56 And if the priest look, and, behold, the plague be fomewhat dark after the washing of it; then he thall rend it out of the gar ment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof.

57 And ifit appear ftillin the garment, either in the warp, orin the woof, or in any thing of skin, it is a spreading plague; thou shalt burn that wherein the plague is with fire.

58 And the garment, either warp, or woof, or whatsoever thing of skin it be, which thou fhalt wath, if the plague be departed from them, then it shall be washed the fecond time, and shall be clean.

59 This is the law of the plague of leprofy in -a garment of woollen or linen, either in the warp, or woof, or any thing of skins, to pro nounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean. CHAP. XIV.

46 All the days wherein the plague ball be in him he hall be defiled; he is unclean:

ND the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

A This thall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleaning; He shall be brought unto the priest:

3 And the priest fhall go forth out of the camp; and the prieft thall look, and, behold, if the plague of teprofy be healed in the leper;

4 Then thali the priest command to take for him that is to be cleanfed two birds alive and clean, and cedar-wood, and scar. let, and hyffop.

And the priest fhall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen veiled over running water.

Of cleansing Leprosy.

Of cleaning leprosy. flour mingled with oil for a meat-offering, and a log of oil,

LEVITICUS. 6 As for the living bird, he thall take it, and the cedar-wood, and the fearlet, and the hyffop, and thall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water;

7 And he shall fprinkle upon him that is to be cleanfed from the leprofy feven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and fhall let the living bird loofe into the open field.

8 And be that is to be cleanfed fhall wath his clothes, and fhave off all his hair, and wath himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and hall tarry abroad out of his tent feven days.

9 But it thall be on the feventh day, that he thall have all his hair off his head, and his beard, and his eye-brows, even all his hair he fhall fhave off: and he thall wash his clothes, alfo he thall wath his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.

10 And on the eighth day he fhall take two he-lambs without blemish, and one ewe-lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth-deals of fine flour for a meat-offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil;

11 And the priest that maketh him clean, fhall prefent the man that is to be made clean, and thofe things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

12 And the priest thall take one he-lamb, and offer him for a trefpafs-offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave-offering before the LORD.

13 And he shall flay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the fin-offering and the burnt-offering in the holy place: for as the fin-offering is the priest's, fo is the trefpafsoffering; it is moft holy.

14 And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trefpafs-offering, and the priest thall put it upon the tip of the right ear of bim that is to be cleanfed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

15 And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:

16 And the priest shall dip his right finger In the oil that is in his left hand, and thail prinkle of the oil with his finger feven times Before the LORD.

17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand thall the left put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleanfed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trefpafs-offering.

18 And the remnant of the oil that is in she prieft's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement før him before

she LORD.

19 And the priest fhall offer the fin-offer. Ing, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleanfed from his uncleannefs, and afterward he shall kill the burnt-offering.

20 And the priest thall offer the burnt-offering and the meat-offering upon the altar: and the priest thall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

21 And if he be poor, and cannot get fo much; then he thall take one lamb for a tref. pafs-offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth-deal of fine

22 And two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, fuch as he is able to get; and the one thall be a fin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering.

23 And he thall bring them on the eighth day for his cleaning unto the pricft, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congrega. tion before the LORD.

24 And the priest thall take the lamb of the trefpafs-offering, and the log of oil, and the prieft fhall wave them for a wave-oftering before the LORD.

25 And he thall kill the lamb of the trefpafs offering, and the priest thall take fome of the blood of the trefpafs-offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleanfed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot. 26 And the priest thall pour of the oil in to the palm of his own left hand.

27 And the prieft fhall fprinkle with his right finger fome of the oil that is in his left hand feven times before the LORD.

28 And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right car of him that is to be cleanfed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trefpafs-offering.

20 And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he thall put upon the head of him that is to be cleanfed, to make an a. tonement for him before the LORD.

30 And he thall offer the one of the turtle. doves, or of the young pigeons, fuch as he can get;

31 Even fuch as he is able to get, the one for a fin-offering, and the other for a burntoffering, with the meat-offering: and the priest fhall make an atonement for him that is to be cleanfed before the LORD.

32 This is the law of bim in whom is the plague of leprofy, whofe hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleanfing.

33 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes and unto Aaron, faying,

34 When ye be come into the land of Ca naan, which I give to you for a pofletion, and I put the plague of leprofy in a house of the land of your poffettion,

35 And he that owneth the houfe shall come and tell the prieft, faying, It feemeth to me there is as it were a plague in the house;

36 Then the priest thall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to fee the plague, that all that is in the houfe be not made unclean; and afterward the priest thall go in to fee the house.

37 And he thall look on the plague: and,be. hold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow trakes, greenish or reddith, which in fight are lower than the wall;

38 Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the houfe, and shut up the house feven days.

39 And the priest shall come again the fe venth day, and thall look: and, behold, if the plague be fpread in the walls of the house;

40 Then the priest shall command that they take away the ftones in which the plague i!, and they shall caft them into an unclean place without the city.

41. And he thall caufe the houfe to beforep
