42 And they thall take other tones, and put them in the place of thofe ftones; and he hall take other mortar, and fhall plafter the house.

43 And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the tones, and after he hath fcraped the houie, and after it is plattered;

44 Then the priest shall come and look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the houle, it is a fretting leprofy in the houfe:

47 And he that lieth in the house hall Wath his clothes; and be that catech in the houfe thall wath his clothes.

48 And if the priest hall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not fpread in the houfe, after the house was plattered; then the priest thall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed. 49 And he thall take to cleanfe the house two birds, and cedar-wood, and fcarlet, and hyop.

52 And he thall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar-wood, and with the hyflop, and with the fearlet.

53 But he thall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an a tonement for the houfe: and it shall be clean. 54 This is the law for all manner of plague of leprofy, and feall,

55 And for the leprofy of a garment, and of an houfe,

119 The uncleanness of men and women by their illues: 13, 28 their cleaning. AND the LORD ipake unto Mofes and to Aaron, faying,

2 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, and fay unto them, When any man hath a running iffue out of his flesh, because of his ifue he is unclean,

3 And this fhall be his uncleanness in his fue: whether his flesh run with his iffue, or his fleth be ftopped from his iffue, it is his nucleannefs.

4 Every bed whereon he lieth that hath the iffue is unclean; and every thing whereon he fitteth thall be unclean.

And whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be uncleau until the even.

12 And the vessel of earth that he toucheth which hath the itfue, fhall be broken: and every veffel of wood thall be rinfed in water.

13 And when he that hath an iffue is cleanfed of his iffue; then he thall number to himfelt feven days for his cleansing, and wath his clothes, and bathe his neth in running water, and thall be clean.

14 And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them unto the priest.

15 And the priest shall offer them, the one for a fin-offering, and the other for a burntoffering; and the priest thall make an atonement for him before the LORD for his issue.

16 And if any man's feed of copulation go out from him, then he thall wath all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.

17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the feed of copulation, thall be wath ed with water, and be unclean until theeven.

18 The woman alfo with whom man thall lie with feed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.

19 And if a woman have an iffue, and her iffue in her fieth be blood, the fhall be put apart feven days: and whofoever toucheth her thall be unclean until the even.

20 And every thing that the lieth upon in her feparation thall be unclean; every thing alfo that the fitteth upon fhall be unclean.

21 And whosoever toucheth her bed fhail

22 And whosoever touchethany thing that the fat upon, thall wath his clothes, and bathe bime felt in water, and be unclean until the even.

24 And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he thall be unclean feven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth fhall be unclean.

25 And if a woman have an iffue of her blood many days out of the time of her fe paration, or if it run beyond the time of her feparation; all the days of the flue of her

The fin-offering.

LEVITICUS. uncleanness shall be as the days of her feparation: the shall be unclean.

26 Every bed whereon the lieth all the days of her iffue, fhall be unto her as the bed of her feparation: and whatsoever the fitteth upon fhall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her feparation.

27 And whofoever toucheth thofe things fhall be unclean, and thall wath his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

28 But if the be cleanfed of her iffue; then fhe hall number to herself feven days, and after that the thall be clean.

33 And of her that is fick of her flowers, and of him that hath an Rue, of the man, and of the wonian, and of him that lieth with her that is unclean.

CHAP. XVI.

How the high priefi mufi enter into the holy place. The bigh priest's fin-offering for bimfelf, 15 and for the people. 20 TheJcapegoat. 29 The yearly feaf of the expiations.

AND the LORD fpake unto Mofes, after the

death of the two fons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died:

2 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil, before the mercy-feat which is upon the ark, that he die not: for I will appear In the cloud upon the mercy-feat.

3 Thus thall Aaron come into the holy place with a young bullock for a fin-offer. ing, and a ram for a burnt-offering.

4 He fhall put on the holy linen coat, and he thall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with the linen girdle, and with the linen mitre thall he be attired: there are holy garments; thereiore fhall he wath his flesh in water, and fo put them on. 5 And he fhall take of the congregation of the children of Ifrael two kids of the goats for a fin-offering, and one ram for a burnt-offering.

6 And Aaron fhall offer his bullock of the fin-offering which is for himfelt, and make an atonement for himfelt and for his houie.

7 And he hall take the two goats, and prefest them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

8 And Aaron fhall can lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other Tot for the fcape-goat.

9 And Aaron hall bring the goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for ann-ortering:

12 And he thall take a cenfer full of burn. ing coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incenfo beaten fmall, and bring it within the veil.

13 And he thall put the incenie upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incenie may cover the mercy-feat that is upon the teftimony, that he die not.

14 And he thall take of the blood of the bullock, and fprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy-feat eastward: and before the mercy-feat fhall he fprinkle of the blood with his finger feven times.

15 Then fhall he kill the goat of the fin-offering that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bul lock, and fprinkle it upon the mercy-seat, and before the merry-feat.

16 And he shall make an atonement for the

holy place, because of the uncleannefs of the children of Ifracl, and because of their tran greifions in all their fins: and fo thall be do for the tabernacle of the congregation that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleannefs.

17 And there fhall be no man in the ta bernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atone. ment for himself, and for his houfehold, and for all the congregation of rathe

18 And he thall go out unto altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it, and fhall take of the blood of the bul lock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

19 And he thall fprinkle of the blood up on it with his finger feven times, and cleanle it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Ifracl.

20 And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the taber. nacle of the congregation, and the altar, be thall bring the live goat:

21 And Aaron fhall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confefs over him all the iniquities of the children of 1 rael, an all their tranfgreflions in all their fins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and thall fend him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness.

22 And the goat fhall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he thall let go the goat in the wilderness,

43 And Aaron fhall come into the taber nacle of the congregation, and shall put of the linen garments which he put on when he went into the holy place, and fhall leave them there:

24 And he shall wash his flesh with waterin the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt-offering, and the burnt-offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself and for the people:

25 And the fat of the fin-offering thall he burn upon the altar.

Chap. xvii, xviii.

26 And he that let go the goat for the fcape goat, thall wath his clothes, and bathe his fleth in water, and afterwards come into the camp. 27 Aadthe bullock for the fin-offering, and the goat for the fin-offering, whole blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, fall one carry forth without the camp; and they hall burn in the fire their skins, and their fieth, and their dung.

28 And he that burneth them thall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterwards he thall come into the camp. 39¶And this thall be a statute for ever unto you; that in the feventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your fouls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that fojourneth among you.

30 For on that day fhall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanfe you, that ye may be clean from all your fins before the LORD.

31 It ball bea fabbath of reft unto you, and ye hall afflict your fouls by a ftatute for ever. 32 And the priest whom he thall anoint, and whom he thall confecrate to minifter in the priest's office in his father's ftead, thall make the ate aement, and hall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments.

33 And he thall make an atonement for the holy fanctuary, and he thall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congre gation, and for the altar; and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

34 And this fhall be an everlasting ftatute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Ifrael, for all their fins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moles.

CHAP. XVII.

Unlawful marriages.

unto the LORD, even that mar fhall be cut

10 And whatfoever man there be of the
houfe of Ifrael, or of the ftrangers that fo
journ among you, that eateth any manner
of blood; I will even fet my tace againft
that foul that eateth blood, and will cut bin
off from among his people.

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar, to make an atonement for your fouls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the foul.

12 Therefore I faid unto the children of Ifrael, No foul of you thall eat blood, neither hall any stranger that fojourneth among you eat blood.

13 And whatfoever man there be of the children of Ifrael, or of the ftrangers that fo. journ among you, which hunteth and catch. eth any beaft or fowl that may be caten; he thall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with duft.

14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I faid unto the children of Ifrael, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of fleth: for the life of all fleth is the blood thereof; whosoever eateth it fhall be cut off.

15 And every foul that eateth that which died of itfelf, or that which was torn with beats, whether it be one of your own country, or a ftranger, he thall both wath his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be uncican until the even; then thall he be clean.

16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh, then he fhall bear his iniquity. CHAP. XVIII.

3 What man foever there be of the houfe of Ifrael, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp, 4 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the Logo, blood thall be imputed unto that man, he hath thed blood; and that man fhall be cut off from among his people:

To the end that the children of Ifrael may bring their facrifices which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the prieft, and offer them for peace-offerings un

4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God."

5 Ye thall therefore keep my ftatutes and my judgments; which if a man do, he thall live in them: I am the LORD.

6 None of you fhall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakednefs: 1 am the LORD.

7 The nakednefs of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, halt thou not uncover: the is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

8 The nakedness of thy father's wife fhalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

9 The nakedness of thy fitter, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whe ther be be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

12 The nakedness of thy fon's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakednefs thou shalt not uncover: for their's is thine own nakeduefs.

19 Alfo thou shalt not approach unto a wo. man to uncover her nakednefs, as long as the is put apart for her uncleanness.

20 Moreover, thou shalt not lie carnallywith thyneighbour'swile, to defile thyself with her. 21 And thou shalt not let any of thy feed pass through the fire to Molech, neither thalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination.

23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast, to defile thy felf therewith; neither hall any woman ftand before a beaft to lie down thereto: it is contufion.

24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of thefe things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I caft out before you.

25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomitéth out her inhabitants.

26 Ye shall therefore keep my ftatutes and my judgments, and thall not commit any of thefe abominations; either any of your own nation, nor any ftranger that fojourneth

among you;

27 (For all thefe abominations have the men of the land done which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

28 That the land fpue not you outalfo, when ye defile it, as it fpued out the nations that

29 For whofoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the fouls that commit bem thall be cut off from among their people. 30 Therefore thall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of thefe abominable customs which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves thereIn: I am the LORD your God.

CHA P. XIX.

A repetition of fundry larvs. A ND the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying, 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Ifrael, and fay unto them, Ye hall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

3Ye fhall fear every man his mother and his father, and keep my fabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourfelves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither thalt thou gather the gleanings of the harveft.

10 And thou thalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard, thou thalt leave them for the poor and itranger: I am the LORD your God.

Ye thall not fteal, neither deal talfely, neither lie one to another.

12 And ye thals not fwear by my name falfely, neither thalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired fhall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

14 Thou shalt not curfe the deaf, nor put a stumbling-block before the blind, but that fear thy God: I am the LORD.

15 Ye shalt do no unrighteoufnels in judgment; thou shalt not refpect the perfon of the poor, nor honour the perfon of the mighty but in righteoufnefs thalt thou judge thy neighbour.

16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a tale-bearer among thy people; neither fhalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour? I am the LORD.

17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wife rebuke thy neighbour, and not iuffer fin upon him.

18 Thou shalt not avenge nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people but thou shalt love they neighbour as thyfeli: I am the LORD.

19 Ye shall keep my ftatutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind. Thou shalt not fow thy field with mingled feed; neither thall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

20 And whofoever lieth carnally witha woman that is a bond-maid, betrothed to an hutband, and not at all redeemed, nor free. dom given her, the fhall be fcourged: they fhall not be put to death, because the was not free.

21 And he fhall bring his trefpafs-offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the taber nacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trefpafs-offering.

22 And the priest fhall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trefpafs-offering before the LORD, for his fin which he hath done: and the fin which he hath done thall be forgiven him.

23 And when ye fhall come into the land, and thall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcifed: three years fhall it be as un circumcifed unto you; it shall not be eaten of

24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof fall be holy, to praife the LORD withal. 25 And in the fifth year thall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God. 26 Ye hall not eat any thing with the blood; neither fhall ye ufe enchantment, got obferve times,

27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither thalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

18 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your fleft for the dead, nor print any marks upon you! I am the LORD.

19 Do not proftitute thy daughter, to caufe her to be a whore; left the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness. 30Ye fall keep my fabbath, and reve rence my fanctuary :1 am the LORD.

31 Regard not them that have familiar fpirits, neither feek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God. 32Thou shalt rife up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God. I am the LORD.

33 And ifa ftranger fojourn with thee In your land, ye thall not vex him.

34 But the ranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyfelf; for ye were ftrangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

35 Yehall do no unrighteoufnefs in judg. mat, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. 36 Just balances, juft weights, a jutt ephah, and a juft hin fhall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37 Therefore ball ye obferve all my fta. tutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.

CHA P. XX.

Of him that giveth of his feed unto Molech, 4 of him that favoureth fuch an one. 6 of going to wizards. Offandlification. 9 of bia thatcurseth his parents. 10 of adultery. 11, 14, 17, 19 of inceft.

AND the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying, * Again, thou shalt fay to the children of Ifrael, Whosoever be be of the children of Ifracl, or of the strangers that fojourn in If. rael, that giveth any of his feed unto Molech, he hall furely be put to death; the people of the land thall ftone him with ffones.

3 And I will fet my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his feed unto Molech, to defile my fanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

4 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his feed unto Molech, and kill him not;

Then I will fet my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to coin. mit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

6And the foul that turneth after fuch have familiar fpirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even fet my face against that foul, and will cut him off from among his people.

Sanctify yourfelves therefore, and be ye boly: for I am the LORD your God.

8 And ye fhall keep my ftatutes, and do
them: I am the LORD which fanctify you.

9 For every one that curseth his father
or his mother thall be furely put to death:
he hath curfed his father or his mother; his
blood fall be upon him.

10 And the man that committeth adul tery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulterefs thall furely be put to death.

11 And the man that lieth with his father's wife, hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them thall furely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

12 And if a man lie with his daughterin-law, both of them shall furely be put to death: they have wrought confufion; their blood ball be upon them.

13 If a man alfo lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have com mitted an abomination; they thall furely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them.

14 And if a man take a wife and her mo. ther, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.

15 And if a man lie with a beaft, he fall furely be put to death; and ye thail flay the beaft.

16And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the wo man and the beaft: they shall furely be put to death; their blood ball be upon them.

17 And if a man fhall take his fitter, his fa ther's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and fee her nakedness, and the fee his nakedness. it is a wicked thing: and they fhall be cut off in the fight of their people he hath unco. vered his fifter's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

18 And if a man lie with a woman having her fick nefs, and thall uncover her nakedness, he hath discovered her fountain, and the hath uncovered the fountain of her blood and both of them fhall be cut off from among their people.

19 And thou shalt not uncover the nakednefs of thy mother's fifter, nor of thy father's fifter: for he uncovereth his near kin: they fhall bear their iniquity.

20 And if a man fhall lie with his uncle's wife, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakednefs they shall bear their fin; they fhall die childless.

21 And if a man fhall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing; he hath uncovered his brother's nakednefs: they shall be childless.

22 Ye thall therefore keep all my ftatutes, and all my judgments, and do them; that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, fpue you not out.

23 And ye fhall not walk in the manners of the nations which I caft out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

24 But I have faid unto you, Ye shall inhe rit their land, and I will give it unto you to poffefs it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have feparated you from other people.

25 Ye fhall therefore put difference between clean beafts and unclean, and between un. clean fowls and clean: and ye thall not make your fouls abominable by beast, or by tow?,
