this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?

18 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may fpeak thefe words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.

29 For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn afide from the way which I have commanded you: and evil will befal you in the latter days, becaufe ye will do evil in the fight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

30 And Mofes fpake in the ears of all the congregation of Ifrael the words of this fong, until they were ended. CHAP. XXXII.

3 Becaufe I will publish the name of the LORD; afcribe ye greatnefs unto our God.

4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect; for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth, and without iniquity, juft and right is be.

5 They have corrupted themselves; their fpot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverfe and crooked generation.

6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwife? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee Hath he not made thee, and established thee?

7 Remember the days of old, confider the years of many generations: aik thy father, and he will thew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee!

23 I will heap mifchiefs upon them; I will fpend mine arrows upon them.

24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter deftruction: I will alfo fend the teeth of beafts upon them, with the poifon of ferpents of the duft.

For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

10 He found him in a defert land, and in the wafte howling wildernefs: he led him about, he inftructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

Asan cagle stirreth up her neft, fluttereth over her young, fpreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings;

12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no ftrange god with hin.

13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increafe of the fields, and he made him to fuck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

14 Butter of kine, and milk of theep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bafhan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape. 15 Bur Jehurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatnefs: then he forfook God which made him, and lightly efteemed the Rock of his falvation.

16 They provoked him to jealoufy with Arange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

25 The fword without, and terror within, fhall deftroy both the young man and the virgin, the fuckling alfo, with the man of grey hairs.

20 I faid, I would fcatter them into cor. ners, I would make the remembrance of them to ceafe from among men :

27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, left their adverfaries fhould behave themfelves ftrangely, and left they thould fay, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

28 For they are a nation void of counfel neither is there any understanding in them.

29 O that they were wife, that they underitood this, that they would confider their latter end!

30 How thould one chafe a thousand, and two put ten thoufand to flight, except their Rock had fold them, and the LORD had thut them up?

31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themfelves being judges.

32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clufters are bitter:

33 Their wine is the poifon of dragons, and the cruel venom of afps.

34 Is not this laid up in ftore with me, and fealed up among my treasures?

35 To me belongeth vengeance and recompenfe: their foot fhall flide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that fhall come upon them make hate.

36 For the LORD thall judge his people, and repent hinfelt for his fervants: when he feeth that their power is gone, and there is none thut up or left.

37 And he thall fay, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they truited;

And Mofes came and fpake all the words of this fong in the ears of the people, he, and Hofhea the fon of Nun.
