Ps. lxxxiv. 1, 2.

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God!

MATT. viii. 27.

What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

MATT. xxi. 20.

And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

Ps. xxxi. 19.

Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

1 KINGS xviii. 27.

And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

DEUT. xxxii. 36, 37, 38.

For the Lord shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up or left.

And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, which did

eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.

ECCLES. xi. 9, 10.

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

Therefore, remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh for childhood and youth are vanity.

GEN. xliv. 19, 20.

My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?

And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.

Ps. lv. 12-14.

For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid

myself from him: but it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.

ROм. viii. 28-30.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

ROM. viii. 35-39.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword?
