O house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah : 20 O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah :

Ye that fear Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah.

Hallelujah.

O give thanks unto the God of heaven; for his loving-kindness endureth for ever.

PSALM CXXXVII.

1 BY the rivers of Babylon, there we sat

down;

Yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

2 We hung our harps upon the willows in the

midst thereof.

3 For there those that carried us away captive asked of us a song,

And those that wasted us asked of us gladness, saying, "Sing us one of the songs

of Zion."

4 How shall we sing Jehovah's song on strange ground?

5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget her skill;

6 If I remember not thee, may my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; "

If I prefer not Jerusalem above my highest gladness.

Remember, O Jehovah, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem,

Who said, "Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof."

O daughter of Babylon, that art to be destroyed,

Blessed shall he be, that rendereth unto thee, that which thou didst bring upon us.

9 Blessed shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy babes against the rock.

a Ezek. iii. 26.

PSALM CXXXVIII.

By David..

1 I WILL give thee thanks with my whole heart;

Before the angels will I sing praises to thee. 2 I will worship in thy holy temple,

And give thanks unto thy name, for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth;

For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

3 In the day that I called, thou didst answer

4

me,

And strengthen me with strength in my soul.

All the kings of the earth shall give thee

thanks, O Jehovah,

When they hear the words of thy mouth.

5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of Jehovah ; For great is the glory of Jehovah.

6 Though Jehovah is exalted, yet looketh he upon the lowly;

But the proud he knoweth afar off.

a Ps. viii. 5; xcvii. 7.

b Ps. v. 7.
