11 They compassed me about, yea, they com

passed me about;

But with the name of Jehovah I cut them off. 12 They compassed me about like bees:

They were extinguished as a fire of thorns; For with the name of Jehovah I cut them off. 13 Thou didst thrust hard at me, that I might fall;

But Jehovah helped me.

14 Jah is my strength and song;

And is become my salvation.a

15 The voice of singing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous:

"The right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly, 16 "The right hand of Jehovah is exalted,

"The right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly.”

17 I shall not die, but live,

And declare the works of Jah.

18 Jah chastened me sore;

19

But he did not give me over unto death.

Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will enter in thereby, and give thanks unto

Jah.

20 This is the gate of Jehovah,

Whereby the righteous enter in.

a Exod. xv. 2; Isa. xii. 2.

21 I give thee thanks, because thou hast answered

22

me,

And art become my salvation.

The stone which the builders rejected
Is become the head stone of the corner.

23 This is from Jehovah :

It is wonderful in our eyes."

24 This is the day which Jehovah hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save, now, we beseech thee, O Jehovah :

Prosper, now, we beseech thee, O Jehovah. 26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of Jehovah: b

We bless you from the house of Jehovah. 27 Jehovah is God, and he hath given us light:

Bind the sacrifice with cords,

Even unto the horns of the altar.

28

Thou art my God, and I give thee thanks; Thou art my God, and I will exalt thee.

29 O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his loving-kindness endureth for ever.

4 Aleph. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.

5 Aleph.

O that my ways were established to keep thy statutes!

6 Aleph. Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

7 Aleph. I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I shall

have learned thy righteous judg

8 Aleph. I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

17 Gimel.

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his path? by taking heed thereunto according to thy word.

With my whole heart do I seek thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.*

Thy word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against

thee.

Blessed art thou, O Jehovah : teach
me thy statutes.

With my lips do I declare all the
judgments of thy mouth."
I rejoice in the way of thy testi-
monies, as much as in all riches.
I meditate in thy precepts, and have
respect unto thy paths.

I delight myself in thy statutes; I
do not forget thy word.

Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live and keep thy word.

18 Gimel. Open mine eyes, that I may behold wonderful things out of thy law.

a Ps. cxli. 4.

19 Gimel. I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 Gimel. My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath for thy judgments at all

times.

21 Gimel. Thou wilt rebuke the proud that are cursed, that wander from

thy commandments.

22 Gimel. Roll away from me reproach and contempt; for I keep thy testi

monies.

in thy statutes.
