34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and ẞ the third day ẞ he shall rise again.

35 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, unto come him, saying, 3 Master 3, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire. 36 And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?

37 They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.

38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? 39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:

40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give 7; but it shall be given to them 7 for whom it is prepared.

41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.

42 But Jesus called them to him, and
saith unto them, Ye know that they
which are accounted to rule over the
Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and
their great ones exercise authority upon
them.

43 But so 8 shall it not be ß among
you: but whosoever will be great a

44 And whosoever of you will be the
chiefest, shall be servant of all.

45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. 46 And they came to Jericho and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, 8 blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, Luke 18.25. sat by the highway side begging 8.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

17 And Jesus answering said unto them,
Render to Cæsar the things that are
Caesar's, and to God the things that are
God's. And they marvelled at him.
18 Then come unto him the Saddu-P

behind him, and leave no children, that
his brother should take his wife, and
raise up seed unto his brother.

20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

22 And the seven had her, and ẞ left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23 In the resurrection B therefore B, y when they shall rise y, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

8 the God of the living: ye y there-
forey do greatly err.

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, 8 Which is the first commandment of all ß?

29 And Jesus answered him, 8 The first of all the commandments is ß, 'Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: ẞthis is the first commandment B.

31 And the second is B like, namely B this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other command. ment greater than these.
