by a dance. The interval of time between the wedding and the ball was more suitable. It is not well that the gentleman should defer his retirement. It is most suitable that the anniversary should be celebrated, and the newly married couple are invited. The consort of Pasiphae was called Orestes. Εἶνε πρόςφορον οἱ γάμοι καὶ ἡ ἐπέτειος τῆς ἑορτῆς ἐκείνου τοῦ Κυρίου νὰ πανηγυρισθῶσι διὰ τοῦ αὐτοῦ χοροῦ καὶ τοῦ αὐτοῦ κυπέλλου τεΐου; Εἶνε προςφυέστατον.

The patronage of the manager was a dulcet smile.

There is no time for aqua calida. The hour is advanced. What does aqua calida mean? Hot water. I go into my bedroom, holding the candle, the razor, and the other requisites for toilet. I try to dress, but it is impossible, inasmuch as my corpulent spouse has the room full of all the multifarious apparatus of womanly attire. The attire of women is indeed multifarious, though not beautiful. After a while I remember that I have no hot water to shave (with). I observe that the water is cold, and that the hour is advanced. But what can be done? So I content myself with cold, inasmuch as there is no time for it to get hot. I smear with soap my chin and cheeks. A twinge of toothache comes into my teeth, and I mutter, anything but respectfully: “I have a wife enough to drive me mad," and maddened indeed I am as I bring the razor to bear upon my breast.
