Praying with Purpose and PowerXulon Press, 2007 - 292 pages A DIFFERENT TYPE OF BOOK ON PRAYER Many other great books have been written on prayer. This book is different from most though. It is not only a book filled with scriptural teaching on prayer, but is in fact a prayer workbook. It is designed to be used as a prayer reminder, a prayer journal and an activity journal, to keep you on track with your prayers each day. This will enable you to pray with purpose and with power. Its focus is on personal prayer. Of all the noble, great ministries and deeds done by Christians, there is nothing more important to God than the matter or ministry of prayer. Prayer permeates the entire Word of God from Genesis to Revelation. Yet in the busyness of life, it has probably become the most neglected and misunderstood Christian practice. Prayer is not reserved for the few but is for us all. Ken Crause was born and raised in the city of Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Through a miracle of divine healing, Ken accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour at the age of 13. He came to Canada in September 1973 to attend the Full Gospel Bible Institute (FGBI) in Eston, Saskatchewan. After graduation, he pastored a small church in Minnedosa Manitoba. Ken later left the pastorate to pursue a career in business and finance. Ken and his wife Mitz have 7 children and are currently overseeing the home group ministries of their church, Maranatha Foursquare Church of Nanaimo, pastored by Pastor Barry Hansen. In the spring of 2007 God called Ken back into full time ministry primarily focused on prayer. This manual was initially developed for Ken's own purposes and journey in prayer and is now being made available to others to guide them to an effective prayer life. |
