The Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. CCXLIII. A Prayer to be used before a Fight at
Sea, against an Enemy.

1. Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is glorious Lord to come. Rev. iv. 8. Thine, O Lord, is the greatGod, the Lord ness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty for all that is in the heaven and in commandest the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. 1 Chron. xxix. 11. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exod. xv. 11. The Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name, great in counsel, and mighty in work.
