is born of the Spirit is spirit : marvel not. John iii. 3. 5, 6, 7. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body. 1 Cor. xii. 13. Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Acts ii. 38, 39. I will pour my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring. Isa. xliv. 3. Ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Eph. ii. 22. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Titus iii. 5. See also, Jer. i. 5. 3. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our ceive him for

As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John i. 12. As the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body ; so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free. For the body is not one member, but many. 1 Cor. xii. 12, 13, 14. being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. 1 Pet. ii. 24. Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. Col. ii. 12, 13. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death : that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Rom. vi. 4, 5, 6. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth : for ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall
ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth ; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Now ye also put off all these ; anger, wrath,

Lie not one to another, seeing ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering, forbearing one another, and forgiving one another; if any man have a quarrel against any : even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body ; and be ye thankful. Col. iii. 1 to 5. 8 to 15.

Acts xv. 16, 17. If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. The dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air : and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thess. iv. 14. 16, 17. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Acts xx. 32. That they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Acts xxvi. 18. He is the Head of the body, the Church : who is the firstborn from the dead. Col. i. 18. Fear not, little Alock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give

Ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable coinpany of angels, to the general assembly and Church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant. Heb. xii. 22, 23, 24. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which accord. ing to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Pet. i. 3, 4, 5.

2. And that he may know these things the better, ye shall call upon him to hear sermons;
the days of thy life : but teach them thy sons and thy son's sons; specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. Deut. iv. 9, 10. The father to the children shall make known thy truth. Isa. xxxviii. 19. I know him, that he will command his children and his houshold after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord. Gen. xviii. 19. Train up a child in the way he should go. Prov. xxii. 6. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it ; for he hath no pleasure in fools : pay that which thou hast vowed. Eccl. v. 4. 2. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom. x. 17. And all the people gathered themselves together as one man. And Ezra the Priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding; and he read therein. And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood ; and he opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people ;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up. And the Levites caused the people to understand the law. So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. Neh. viii. 1 to 5. 7, 8. Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law : and that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the Lord your God. Deut. xxxi. 12, 13. Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. Luke ii. 41, 42. The next Sabbath day
