AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE CRUIKSHANK ITEM, OF WHICH NO SALE OF ANOTHER COPY, EVEN WITHOUT THE SPECIAL FEATURES ATTACHED TO THIS ONE, CAN BE TRACED IN THIS COUNTRY. The work contains numerous curious woodcuts by George and I. R. Cruikshank, the one at page 121 BEING SIGNED IN THE AUTOGRAPH OF GEORGE CRUIKSHANK; also the cuts at pages 137, 153 and 169 ARE ALSO SIGNED IN HIS HAND, he having noted that they were by I. R. Cruikshank, the name on last named being written out in full.

Laid in is an interesting three-page personal autograph letter from the author to Walter B. Langley (with addressed envelope, AUTOGRAPHED BY W. H. A.)... "I don't think I shall resume any political articles in Bentley' just at present," etc.

A pretty example of the famous artist's work, signed by him in full. The white cliffs of Dover, with the sea rolling on beach below, are well executed. Cruikshank drawings of this nature are very rare. It was purchased at the sale of his collection in London some years ago.
