I did not read this whole book. I just wanted to say trials and temptation come from the same Greek word but mean different things. It is critical to understand that. Mental illness is a trial not a temptation. God will send trials, but cannot bring temptation. There is a way out of temptation, but not out of trials. I have a lot of experience with dealing with people that have mental illness that are doing very well. They are believers but did NOT recover the way this book suggests. This can actually be damaging.
