David Caldwell, 1705-1781, and His Descendants in the United States of America
David Caldwell was living on Caldwell's Creek, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, in 1755. He possibly lived in Pennsylvania and Virginia before moving to North Carolina. In his will, written in 1780, he named his wife, Ann (Harris); sons, John, William, and James; daughters, Mary Greer and Isabella Harris; son-in-law, William Harris; grandsons, David White and David Davis; and granddaughter, Ann Caldwell. Descendants lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, and elsewhere.
