50 Now this I say, brethren, that m See Matt. flesh and blood "cannot inherit n Cp. John the kingdom of God; neither doth 3. 3, 5. corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: ol Thess. 4. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when 2this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55"O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? 56 The sting of death is sin; and "the Rom. 4. 15 power of sin is the law: 57 but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Wherefore, my 2 Pet. 3. 14. beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not vain in the Lord.

such confidence have we through Christ to God-ward: 5a not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God; 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 7 But if the ministra tion of death, 7 written, and engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; Luke 22. which glory 9i. was passing away: 8 how shall not rather the ministration of the spirit be with glory? 13. 910 For if the ministration of condemnation is glory, much rather doth the ministration of righteous- 2.27. ness exceed in glory. 10 For verily that which hath been made glorious hath not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasseth.
