Prov. iii. 25. Be not afraid of fudden fear, nor of the defolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

Deliverance from Enemies.

2 Kings vi. 16. Fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

2 Chron. xiv. 11. LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power.

2 Kings xvii. 39. The LORD your GOD ye fhall fear, and he fhall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.

Pf. xvii. 7. Shew thy marvellous loving kindness, O thou that faveft by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee, from thofe that rife up against them.

I. liv. 17. No weapon that is formed against thee fhall profper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment, thou fhalt condemn. This is the heritage of the fervants of the LORD, and their righteoufnefs is of me, faith the LORD.

V. From OPPRESSION and INJUSTICE.

Exod. xxii. 26. If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it to him by that the fun geeth down.

Ver. 27. For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his fkin: Wherein fhall he fleep? And it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

Pf. xii. 5. For the oppreffion of the poor, for the fighing of the needy, now will I arife, faith the LORD: I will fet him in fafety from him that puffeth at him.

Pf. xxxv. 10. All my bones fhall fay, LORD, who is like unto thee? which deliverest the poor from him who is too strong for him; yea, the poor and the needy, from him that spoileth him.

Pf. lxxii. 4. He fhall judge the poor of the people, he fhall fave the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppreffor.

Ver. 14. He fhall redeem their fouls from deceit and violence; and precious fhall their blood be in his fight.

Eccl. v. 8. If thou feeft the oppreffion of the poor and violent perverting of judgment and juftice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth, and there be higher than they.

If. liv. 14. In righteoufnefs fhalt thou be established: thou fhalt be far from oppreffion, for thou fhalt not fear; and from terror, for it fhall not come nigh thee.

Job v. 21. Thou fhalt be hid from the fcourge of the tongue; neither fhalt thou be afraid of the deftruction when it cometh.
