21 Then Moses called for all the elders' of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kili the passover.

22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two sider, kid. posts with the blood that is in the basin; ver. 7. and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

23 For the LORD will pass through to ver. 12, 13. smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to Ez. 9.6. come in unto your houses to smite you. 24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever. 25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

CHAPTER XIV.

12 That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the male shall be the LORD'S. 13 And Pevery firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a "lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck and all the firstborn of man Num. 3. 46, among thy children shalt thou redeem. 14 ¶ 'And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage: 15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

The Egyptians are drowned,

27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD toverthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

28 And the waters returned, and "covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the Ps. 106. 11. sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

29 But the children of Israel walked over. 22 upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. 30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
