¶ THE FIRST BOOK OF MOSES,
N the beginning God created the
heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

20 T And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundatly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abun dantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the wa ters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
11 And God said.
