This doctrine will arise on high,
When all the works of men shall die.

6 Ourselves we must deny,
And daily take our cross;
From every evil fly,

Or we shall suffer loss:

Till vict❜ry we completely win,
We will maintain the war with sin.

7 Lord, when our hearts shall fail,
And earthly comforts die,
May thy rich grace prevail,

And bear our souls on high;

There, while our glowing love shall flame,
Our deathless tongues shall praise thy name

HYMN 11. P. M.

YOME Soldiers of Jesus, your armour gird

COM

on;

Your Captain commands you, God's well belov'd
Son;

He's unfurl'd his banner in our happy land,
Come, rally around it, ye cross-bearing band.

2 Throw by men's inventions, abide by God's word;

For Jesus, your Lawgiver, Master, and Lord;
His laws are not grievous, but righteous and good;
And we are his subjects, the price of his blood.
3 O how has he wearied you, Christians declare:
Don't think it presumption his name for to bear:
The disciples at Antioch flourish'd and grew,
Not fetter'd by human invention like you.

4 O love one another, your Jesus commands;
Unite with your voices, your hearts, and your
hands;
Like an army with banners, you dreadful shall be,
The host of the aliens before you shall flee.

5 Then God's ancient people the poor scatter'd

Jews, Who long have been exiles, no more shall refuse To own our dear Jesus, their promised king; But fly and take shelter beneath his kind wing.

60 then the Millenium, the long wish'd for day, For which our great Master has taught us to pray; Shall come, and bring with it a kingdom below; Then every nation to Jesus shall bow.

HYMN 12. P. M.

1 Cl would obey the call,

NALL'D to a sense of duty,

And for the sake of Jesus,
I'd freely give up all;
My former vain enjoyments,
Of pleasure, pride and gain,
That I in Jesu's kingdom,
A mansion may obtain.

2 How often have I struggled,
To hold some foolish sin;
Yet to the heavenly kingdom
I meant to enter in :
But now I am persuaded
That nothing else will do,
But Jesus for my portion,
And holy joys pursue.

3 Let all the world's gay beauty,
With Satan's flattering bait,
With all their pride and grandeur,
Around my soul await:
The far superior beauty,

Through faith, I see ahead;

And I am bent upon it,

This holy way to tread.

4 Come, who will travel with me, The road that ads to Heaven?

And follow none but Jesus,
The way which he hath given;
And take his word for counsel,
His Spirit for a guide;
And make a full surrender
Of every thing beside.

5 Come on, my precious brethren,
And travel on with me;
We'll seek for heavenly treasure,
Until we find the sea
Of sweet unbounded riches,
Of life, and love, and peace,
Where beauty never withers,

And glory ne'er shall cease.
6 What though the world reproach us,
And say we're mean or poor;
No matter what we suffer,

So we but reach the shore:
"Twill make the glory sweeter,
And raise our praises higher;
And we shall be completer,
When purified by fire.

HYMN 13. L. M.

HERE is a school on earth begun,
Instructed by the Holy One;

He calls his pupils there, to prove
The sweetness of redeeming love.

2 The school book is the Scripture true;
The lessons are forever new;
In this the pupils are agreed,

It is a blessed school indeed.

3 "Tis here the blind may learn to see; Then come, ye blind, the school is free: And here the lame may learn to walk; The dumb may also learn to talk. 4 'Tis here the deaf may learn to hear; Then come ye deaf and lend an ear;

Listen to Jesus' pleasant voice,
He'll make your mourning souls rejoice.
5 Come, brethren, you who are at school,
Attention pay to ev'ry rule;

Here may we learn the happy art
Of loving God with ail our heart.

HAH

HYMN 14. P. M.

[AIL the day so long expected,
Hail the year of full release,
Zion's walls are now erected,
And the watchmen live in peace
From the distant courts of Zion,
The shrill trumpet loudly roars.
CHORUS.

Babylon is fallen, is fallen, is fallen,
Babylon is fallen, to rise no more.
2 Hark, and hear the people crying,
See the city disappears;

Trade and traffic all are dying,
Lo! they sink to rise no more!
Merchants who have bought her traffic,
Crying from a distant shore,

3 All her merchants cry with wonder,
What is this that comes to pass?
Murmuring like some distant thunder;
Crying, O! alas, alas!

Swell the sound, ye kings and nobles,
Priests and people, rich and pool-
4 Lo, the captives are returning,
Up to Zion see them fly;

While the heavenly host rejoices,

Shout them welcome through the sky See the ancients of the city,

Terrified at the uproar

5 Tune your harps, ye Heavenly choir, Shout, ye followers of the Lamb;

See the city all on fire,

Clap your hands, and blow the flame. Now's the day of compensation, Hope of mercy now is o'er.

HYMN 15. P. M.

Y brethren all, on you I call,
M Arise, and look around you,

How many foes, bound to oppose,
Are waiting to confound you;
The trumpet calls on Zion's walls-
Shake off your sleep and slumber;
Arise and pray, we'll win the day,
Though we are few in number.
2 To God we'll cry, and hell defy,
Though Satan roars like thunder;
The voice of pray'r makes sinners stare,
While fill'd with awe and wonder:
While music sweet, makes some retreat,
Our Jesus still draws nigher;
His precious name, lights up the flame,
That sets our souls on fire.

3 While grace divine in others shine,
With such we are delighted;
With them we crowd, and sing so loud,
Poor sinners are affrighted.

The sweetest joys our pow'rs employ,
To see the cause advancing,
Though some go off, and boldly scoff,
And say that we are dancing.

4 Some mournfully for mercy cry,
And stubborn hearts are bended!
If we but smile, some say we're wild,
And so go off offended:

If souls are born, we'll bear the scorn,
Let sinners tell this story;

For Jesu's name, we'll bear the blame,
And give him all the glory.
