I merely notice it here, because it formerly belonged to queen Elizabeth, and contains at the beginning of the volume a page in her handwriting. This exposition is under the title of "Ane fruitful meditation, conteining ane plaine and facill exposicioun,' &c. Both the text and the exposition are in the Scottish dialect. Herbert tells us, that the work was printed in French, at Rochelle, in 1589. |
