who believe shall be of one heart and of one soul, and shall with one mind and one mouth glorify God even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hear, O Lord, the continued prayer of thy church for our prosperity in thy kingdom.

Congregation.-O Lord our God and our Father, unite, we beseech thee, all thy people into one band and one family and bless us through the prayers of thy church.

Minister.—Almighty Ruler of heaven and earth, we praise and magnify thy name, for the blessings of order and of government, and for thy special mercies herein to this nation. O God Almighty, may we truly recognize thy hand in these thy mercies towards us, and may we show forth our thankfulness by our submissive, and orderly, and peaceable conduct in all matters, and by our faithfully and cheerfully paying into the public treasury those supplies required for the expences of the nation: and in all things may we act a true and a loyal part towards our country, and ever seek its welfare and happiness.

Congregation.-O God, we bless thee for the government thou hast given us, and we pray thee to make us faithful to our country in all things.

Minister.-Almighty and Eternal Majesty, graciously regard our King in thy mercy and love. teach him fully the way of eternal life, and enable him to walk in that way all his days, that so he may at length obtain a glorious and an everlasting crown from the hands of thy Beloved Son Jesus Christ.-0 Lord our God, be pleased, we pray thee, to give unto our King an understanding heart, that he may rule with rectitude this nation which thou hast committed to his charge.

Congregation.-Almighty God, bless our King with thy salvation here, and with thy glory hereafter; and enable him to rule this nation according to thy will.

Minister. Almighty King and Legislator of the Universe, vouchsafe, we pray thee, to give thy blessing to the Parliament of this country. May all the members of these Supreme Courts of our land be well instructed in the duties of their station, and have before them as their constant rule of action those eternal laws of rectitude held forth in thy word, and may they sincerely seek the good of this nation in all their legislative conduct.

Congregation.-O Lord, bless our Parliament, and may every individual member of it follow thy eternal laws of rectitude, and constantly seek the good of this nation.

Minister-O Lord God, the Judge of all Mankind, behold and direct the Judges of our land, that they may faithfully and impartially administer Justice unto all, without preferring one before another.

Congregation.-O Lord, give thy Spirit to all the Judges of our land.

Minister.-O Lord Almighty, look down very graciously on all the Instructors of our Youth. To them thou hast committed in a particular manner as unto Parents, the temporal and eternal welfare of our children, and the destinies of our country in the succeeding generation, and in the ages to follow. O Lord our God, give unto all our Teachers, the spirit of Knowledge, of Truth, and of Righteousness. May they know how to teach and to rule our tender and susceptible offspring, who lie open to the good and the evil set before them. May they instruct and establish our Youth in the paths of true knowledge and rectitude: and O especially may they lead thei to the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world, that they may be pardoned and accepted through his atonement in their tender age, and may ever after be led by the love of Christ unto all holiness and righteousness of life, shining and giving light in the world, to the glory of our Father in heaven.

Congregation.-O Lord our God, most graciously bless all the Instructors of our Youth, that they may lead our children to Jesus Christ, and to all rectitude of life through him.

Minister. Father of mercies, be pleased to bestow thy gracious and very abundant blessing on all who are Parents in our land, that they may honour and imitate thee the Great Parent of all the families of the earth, and bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.-And, O may their children be subject to them in all fear and love. May the Parents prove a blessing to their Children, and the Children to their Parents, in all things temporal, and in the great concerns of eternity.

Congregation.-Lord Almighty, bless all Parents, and all Children in our land, to the glory of thy most holy name amongst us.

May they learn their other from thy word,

Minister.-God Almighty, have mercy on the Rich, the Great, the Honourable, and the Learned among men; and lead them to seek treasure in heaven. Congregation. Amen.

Minister.—God of mercy, pitifully regard and graciously supply all the Poor, and open our hearts and our hands unto them for their relief.

Congregation. Amen.

Minister. O Lord, have mercy, we beseech thee, on all the Wicked, and the Profligate in this favoured land, that they may see their great guilt and repent. And graciously be pleased to instruct the Ignorant, and to stir up the Slothful.

Congregation.-Amen.

Minister-God of compassion, most graciously sustain all who are in affliction and anguish, of soul body or mind, and deliver them in thy tender mercies. Congregation.-Amen.

Minister.-0 Most Blessed God, be with us, we beseech thee, in all our worship and services. May we sing, and read, and pray, as in the presence of God; and may thy presence indeed be with us.-O Lord, direct him who is to speak from thy word, and give an attentive ear to all this audience, that thy truth when read and expounded may sink down into their understandings and hearts, and be followed by the happiest results for thy glory, and for the present and eternal welfare of all in this assembly.

Congregation.-Gracious Father, let thy presence and thy blessing be experienced by us all on this

occasion.

Minister. And now, O our God, and our heavenly Father, prove to us, we humbly intreat thee, that thou art the hearer of prayer, and answer all these our petitions; and, O Lord, forgive us, and accept of us, and bless us, through the Son of thy love, our Saviour Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, and who ever liveth to make intercession for us: unto whom be glory for ever and ever: amen. Congregation-Amen, and amen.

[All standing.]

Minister. Let us again sing to the praise and the glory of God.-[The hymn to be named, and the two first lines pronounced, as before.]

1. Hail, thou once despised Jesus!
Hail, thou Galilean King!

Thou didst suffer to release us;

Thou didst free salvation bring.

Hail, thou agonizing Saviour,
Bearer of our sin and shame!
By thy merits we find favour;
Life is given through thy name.

2. Paschal Lamb, by God appointed,
All our sins on thee were laid;
By almighty Love anointed,

Thou hast full atonement made :
All thy people are forgiven

Through the virtue of thy blood;
Opened is the gate of heaven,

Peace is made 'twixt man and God.

3. Jesus, hail! enthroned in glory,
There for ever to abide;

All the heavenly hosts adore thee,
Seated at thy Father's side:
There for sinners thou art pleading,
There thou dost our place prepare ;
Ever for us interceding,

Till in glory we appear.

4. Worship, honour, power, and blessing,
Thou art worthy to receive;
Loudest praises without ceasing,
Meet it is for us to give :
Help, ye bright angelic spirits!
Bring your sweetest, noblest lays;
Help to sing our Saviour's merits;
Help to chant Immanuel's praise.

[Still standing.]

Minister. In the view of Reading and Hearing God's Holy Word,-Let us Pray.

[All kneel.]

Minister.-Lord God Almighty, the heavens above display thy glory. The sun, and the moon, and the stars reflect thy light, and shed the knowledge of thy
